Stumpwork Embroidered Horse Mugwort Charm

When the horse gallops, fortune arrives — the auspicious Chinese saying "ma dao fu lin" embodied in a stumpwork embroidered horse.

• Stumpwork embroidered horse — a body of fabric woven with gold-thread motifs, a blue saddle with gold ornament and three small tassels. Mane and tail in soft tassel texture — a sculptural, sewn creation
• Mugwort sachet included — following the old Chinese custom of the xiangnang (sachet), a mugwort fragrance pouch accompanies the charm
• 5 auspicious poses — Welcoming Fortune / Attracting Wealth / Looking Back / Good Luck / Smooth Sailing. Pose names are the supplier's; colors as pictured (red x2, gold, purple, green). Please compare the photos and choose
• For keys or bags — beads threaded on the hanging cord at the crown. For keys, bags and pouches, as well as car and room decoration
• Warmth of handwork — the supplier lists the making as half-hand, half-machine. Stitching and expression vary from piece to piece

2026 is the Year of the Horse. A keepsake for the year, and a gift for those wishing for victory — races, exams, new ventures. The culture of displaying horses as auspicious objects exists in Japan too, making it a welcome little gift for the New Year season.
